Why must you require so many variables?  This was supposed to be simple!

Juncture: Rambling.

Friday, May 4th, 2012

I am still working on Juncture but the very process continues to modify the core experience of the game.  I’ve fully redesigned the game several times now and it has fallen apart each time for various reasons.  My latest attempt involves simply not calling it a ‘game’ as I find I have personally invested too much in the word.  I am working toward conveying the feeling of adventure which started my work on this project.  Rather than worry about technical details early on I’m choosing to revert to my earlier more reflexive style of game design and adding elements in as I see fit.  While I will eventually focus on have a strong simulation under then hood – I think it’s important that I strive for feeling so early on.

More on this soon.

What was formerly Project Forever Adventure, Egg, and originally The Journey has now officially been dubbed Juncture.  It is still in the prototype phase – but look for actual information within a few weeks.
