My progress in plumbing the veritable depths of the Unity development system (using engine to describe it might be passé) has been more rapid than I initially expected. Using a combination of old-school billboarding techniques and point n’ click charm: I’m going to adapt a vision. One that, I’ve had for quite a long time. The game will render out as a mildly simple experience, but the inner-workings will be fairly complex compared to most of what classically exists within the realm of “video games”. I have this feeling I am not unique in this department of late, with many of the popular indie (oxymoron? heh, no) titles displaying…
Early.
Tuesday, May 4th, 2010I have to leave my house and head into the cold – just minutes from now. But before I do this (to head to work, possibly through flooding) : let us conciser the following : I am nearing completion of my May-Project engine. In response I’ll soon place the first by-product of this creation here, (the smallish test stage) for all to enjoy. Look for it in the next few days.
Have a good morning, all.

Friday, April 30th, 2010While I will continue to labor away on the Über-secretive May Project, I have decided my needs have outgrown flash and I will be moving on to Unity. (A.K.A. Unity 3D) I’m not, as of yet, fully sure this is the best plan – but it is the one I’ve gone with so here’s hoping it was a wise decision. Now – to see if I can wrangle this 3D beast into the realm of only two dimensions…
Project Percentage (May Project)
Saturday, April 24th, 2010This will be a reoccurring feature: a breakdown of percentage of completion for any current games. This time will be about the currently (and rather abruptly) titled MAY PROJECT:
Back From Vacation.
Saturday, April 24th, 2010I have just now returned from vacation and am back to working on a prototype for a small game I plan to release within a month or so. With any true work, there must come research – and with this, there is much. Before I drop any real information about this project I am looking into copyrighting the name. I am aware of my current (warranted) nobody status, however I still feel some validity in my search. You have to start somewhere, and if I am to sell this – I will need to own the name.
If anyone in the internet-o-sphere knows about this mysterious process (specifically copyrighting a name for a game, personally, not for a company) please inform me here or at Thr33li@gmail.com. Thanks.
UPDATE: I took the four seconds to dig through the U.S. Copyright office site – and discovered exactly what I was looking for. I should’ve done that before asking such a silly question.
